About Us

Like all Bahá’í Centers around the world, the Eastside Bahá’í Center is open to, and warmly welcomes, anyone interested in the principles of global unity and the eradication of all forms of prejudice which are at the heart of the Teachings of the Bahá’í Faith.

As part of their way of life, Bahá’ís host various community activities in the neighborhoods they reside in across the Puget Sound region. These include regular classes for the moral education of children, sessions for junior youth to enhance their spiritual growth and to promote a sense of service-to-others within them, devotional gatherings to inspire inner peace and to draw one closer to the Creator, and study circles to consider important questions such as the purpose of life. The Eastside Bahá’í Center offers all these activities as well, plus a variety of other events. Newcomers are always welcome at every activity!

The construction of the Eastside Bahá’í Center was completed in 2006. Mr. Hossein Amanat, Architect and Principal of Arc Design International, was chosen in November 2000 to begin the conceptual design work on the Eastside Bahá’í Center. His firm, based out of Vancouver, BC, developed a plan for a 21,000 sqft facility with the following features:

– Auditorium to seat around 400 people
– Classrooms for Daystar Bahá’í Sunday School and other community children’s classes
– Facilities for Training Institutes and Devotional Meetings
– Meeting rooms and a bookstore
– Large entryway and lobby with a view of downtown Bellevue and Seattle
– Underground parking
